What we've done in 2008
Following on from a good 2007 in which Genus Network members managed to get more out of Network, we are aiming to do more of the same in 2008.
So far in 2008 Genus Network members have:
- Attended the Derbyshire County Ball at Pride Park
- Been on a "Crazily Cold Winter Camp" at Gradbach with Lynx Network
- Had an introductory lesson in learning Sign Language
- Been bowling with Badger Explorers
- Engaged in "role play"
- Been bowling with Sandiacre Network
- Played giant games with Lynx Network
- Been day-hiking with Mafekin Explorers (Willington)
- Done backwoods cooking
- Played with Scalextric
- Been on an evening walk through the Chevin and Belper
- Competed against Lynx Network in a games evening at Genus HQ
- Been on the Nottingham Eye
- Attended the National Network Gathering in the Lake District
- Took part in a charity quiz hosted by Lynx Network
- Been Air Rifle shooting
- Taken part in the St Georges Day parade in Belper
- Taking part in the NetEx Challenge Photo Rally event
- Been cycling through Belper and Wirksworth
- Joined Phoenix Network for a game of rounders at Marketon Park
- Been to BBQ's hosted by Fusion Network and Lynx Network
- Been climbing at the new Derby climbing centre - Alter Rock
- Been camping near Whitby with Lynx and Sandiacre Networks
- Joined Lynx, Sandiacre and Phoenix Networks for a "teddy bears picnic" on Marketon Park
- Done Archery, Climbing and Abseiling at Drum Hill
- Helped out at the Duffield village carnival
- Helped out at the Derbyshire Network recruitment day in Day
- Been hiking along the Chevin and the High Peak trail
- Played Nintendo Wii games
- Been raft building at Trent Lock
- Been canoeing at Trent Lock
