Gynxiacre Summer Camp 2007 - Day 3
A much better morning compared to the previous morning weather-wise, and this time we would definitely walk up Snowdon. Jess and Martin from Lynx would join us late on due to needing to fetch the stricken car from the previous night.
We started the long trek at 11:00 am and would get to the summit for roughly 2:20pm, having had a few stops on the way including lunch. A sense of achievement was felt by all of us (for some of the group it was their first walk up Snowdon). We then start making our way back down when we are then met by Jess and Martin. We all get back to the cars late afternoon and arrive back at the campsite before 7:00pm, and guess what greeted us, yes rain, though not as bad as the first day. After launching an amazing rocket we celebrated our achievement of Snowdon with a BBQ, except that due to the weather we decided not to have a proper BBQ; instead we used the normal cookers. We still had the usual BBQ foods of sausages and burgers, plus some kebabs and salad.
After the BBQ we played a couple of card games before watching a DVD, and then it was bedtime.
