Sign Making

Every good organisation has a logo, but we decided to go one step further and put that logo onto a sign, not that the concept is new or anything. It's actually a pretty normal thing to do, but all pages have to have an introduction so I thought i'd prattle on for a few sentences so you get the idea.

Anyway, here are the pictures:

The logo is projected onto the wooden sign for tracing around, here we use the projector to create a prototype T-shirt (just don't move)

Construction

Firstly the large piece of plywood was painted white both sides, before projecting the logo onto it one night in my back yard. That made it possible to trace around it (took a while) before Adam took it home to do the painting. A few weeks later the sign made its first appearance at our 2006 Easter Camp in the Lake District, where it sat against a tree facing a busy public footpath. We estimated that hundreds must have seen it whilst on their walks into Ambleside, but no new members yet :-/

Painting ...Done!
Ok, wish you'd made a simpler logo... really wish that logo wasn't so complicated...
Getting there The pain is nearly over...
... no I'm not doing the other side as well.

Thanks to Adam for practically making the whole sign!
