Intense 2007
On 14th-16th September 2007 Genus joined Lynx and Sandiacre Networks at Intense, a National Network camp held in the Avon near Bristol.
Getting there was a doddle unlike the previous weekend (no SatNav this time), though it was quite dark when we arrived at the campsite. Still we managed to set up our camp without any hassel.
The weekends entertainments consisted of dicsos, activities, and other fun such as a bouncy castle (yay).
Friday Night was disco and chill night, rather self-explanetry this. Saturday started off with activities including space hoppers (one of which Danny managed to burst), crazy golf, giant football, and the bouncy castle. After lunch we had a trip into Bristol and spent a couple of hours there before heading back to camp. The less said about the journey back to camp the better (though I will mention that I was not driving or navigating on this occasion).
Saturday Night was fancy dress night. The theme this year was "Cowboys & Indians" (yee ha) and we certainly dressed the part (even though I would say I was more of a casual cowboy with my fancy dress). Another disco was held on Saturday night.
Sunday was piano bash day. Here teams had to bash a piano and post as much of their bashed piano as possible through a letter box. All Gynxiacre members were on the same team and we did a good job, but sadly didn't win.
Overall it was a very enjoyable weekend, and I'm sure we will do it all again in 2008.
