Gradbach 2007
December 2007 saw the long awaited (well overdue infact) return of the "Almost a New Year" Gradbach party, and considering that the last Gradbach was back in 2003 this one turned out to be a good success.
The event was attended by current members of Genus and Lynx Networks, plus some old faces from Duffield VSU (keeping in with tradition here). The usual games and music took place during the event. The first night saw us 'play' "Hide n Seek", where the Lynx lot would hide and the Genus/Duffield lot would then seek, except that we didn't seek them at all. Instead we got sidetracked for the sake of old tradition by walking down to the river at the bottom of the camp field and spent a bit of time there. All this whilst Lynx were still hiding (hehehe) and then started ringing us to find out what was going on. Eventually us from Genus/Duffield made our way back to the cottage without seeking. Sorry Lynx, though it was kind of funny.
Day 2 consisted of a day-trip into Buxton. After tea we had another wide game, this time it was "Capture the Chair" and this time it was actually played unlike the previous night. Then it was DVD time and bed.
Day 3 was the usual 'clear up and go home'.
Overall it was a great weekend and a welcome return to the calendar. A big thank you to all who came along, particually the Lynx and ex-Duffield VSU mob.
Bring on Gradbach 2008!
