Information for Explorer Scouts
Although Scout Network is for people aged 18-25, members of the Explorer Scout section can join Scout Network anytime between 17 ½ and 18 ½. This is to allow for a smooth, easy transfer between Explorer Scouts and Scout Network, as well as giving explorers a taster of what the Scout Network has to offer whilst still in their final weeks as an Explorer Scout.
Award Work
The Explorer Scout and Scout Network sections share most of the same award scheme. This means that Explorer Scout members who are still working towards a specific award by the time they leave Explorers will be able to continue working towards gaining that award in Scout Network.
NetEx Challenge Cup
The NetEx Challenge Cup, new for 2007 is a competetion between the Network & Explorer sections within Derbyshire, with teams working together to win the challenge set for each of the events.
