QSA General Inofrmation

Signing off of your QSA.
Firstly you must have completed all sections of the award and have presented this to either the CSNC or another designated person from the Network Team or nominated person. Once you have done this the form entitled "Certifacte Request" which can be found at the back of your Network Navigator record book and this should be filled in. This should ideally be done at the same time as presenting to the CSNC, who has to sign it off at the bottom before it is sent to HQ.

Where do I get my award presented?
There are two choices on the back of the form thus two decisions you have to make. The first is where you would like to have your award presented, Locally or at the annual QSA Parade at Windsor Castle. If you would like it presented locally this is fine as you may still attend the Windsor Parade as well (You just will not be presented your certificate there).

If you choose to have a local presentation your Certificate and Badge will be sent to the CSNC for local presentation.

When is the Windsor Parade?
This years Windsor parade is on Sunday 22nd April 2007, there will be a contingent from Derbyshire attending and details of travel arrangements will follow. It is important to note that this date does clash with the Derbyshire Centenary St. Georges Day Event at Alton Towers. So you will have to make a choice which you wish to attend.

When are the County Presentations?
The County will be presenting at both the St. G's Parade at Alton Towers but there is also a second date - Sunday 4th February 2007. The Awards Ceremony at Ashbourne Town Hall for the County. Members who have achieved awards over this year will be presented at this event. (It is being held then so as not to clash with the Windsor ceremony for the Queen's Scout Award holders.) This event is also open to family and guests as is the Alton Towers event.

Your CSNC MUST BE INFORMED what you wish to do, hence the reason for the Certificate Request form. If you do not have a Navigator Record book and thus no form dont panic because the County web team are in the process of creating an electronic version for inclusion on the Derbyshire Network website. So keep your eyes open or email the CSNC for a copy.
